We recently heard that Primedia & SABC have teamed up to bring you the local version of reality show, The Masked Singer, produced by our very own Anele Mdoda. The Masked Singer series, originally from the US, has been broadcast in more than 50 countries. The local version will be broadcast on SABC 1 and SABC3 and is set to premiere in June.

And this morning we take a look at the popularity of reality shows in Mzansi and why are we seeing so many singing shows on different channels, do South Africans have a high appetite for reality singing shows and why are they seemingly doing so well?
